Firstly I should like to thank you all for the superb wine glasses that you gave me for my birthday. It was very kind of you and it was especially good to see most of you at the party. I hope you enjoyed the ‘entertainment’, as much as I did. You also gave me a lovely bottle of the appropriate ‘red medicine’ and this will be kept for a suitable occasion when the glasses can be thoroughly tested. 

I have brought this Chairman’s Chatter forward and shall resume this format, (following the comments last year), and the new quarterly dates of February, May, August and November.

Another reason for changing the date is that Sam and Sue have kindly offered to host the Christmas Party again this year. The date is Wednesday 15^th December, and the enclosed letter from Sam explains what he needs to know. Time is short so telephone him if you are not going to be at club in the next week or so.

Buildings continue to sprout up, faster that Wimpy!

Following comments at the AGM I look forward to some good ‘operation evenings’ in the future.

Ballasting is continuing as you can see and we shall hopefully have it glued down soon. 

Other Business 

The visit by 12 to 15 members of Andover club is scheduled for 19^th January. Before then we need to have a good tidy up, may I suggest very early in the New Year.
