CLUB LAYOUTS Winchester Railway Modellers currently have three club layouts, which are all in various stages of development. We work in scales '0' gauge, 7mm:1ft; '00' gauge, 4mm:1ft; and 'EM' gauge, 4mm:1ft. Information can be found out about out layouts below. Images of all our layouts can be found in the gallery. '0' Gauge Layout: Abbotstone 'EM' Gauge Layout: Mawgan Porth 'OO' Gauge Layout: Redbridge Wharf Our 'O' Gauge layout, Abbotstone is having a sabattical from exhibitions after several years as a crowd pleaser, and is pending a mid life refurbishment. It is used on club nights. Our EM layout, Mawgan Porth, based upon the LSWR in North Cornwall and has been exhibited since 2014. Our 'OO' layout Redbridge Wharf was well received at its first full exhibition in January 2019. It is based on the SR/BR track and sleeper works near Southampton. It has since been shown at some local shows and appeared in Railway Modeller. The next opportunity to view will be at Alexandra Palace in 2022. MEMBERS' LAYOUTS There are also members' private layouts that are supported by club members at exhibitions. These are: '00' Gauge Layout: Cramdin Yard '00' Gauge Layout: Winterley Junction 'N' Gauge Layout: Waton '00' Gauge Layout: Portland 'O' Gauge Layout: Holcombe Brook 'EM' Gauge Layout St. Holdens
