Congratulations to Mick Rich who has won the Peter James Trophy for his excellent card buildings that he is producing. Mick has used many materials and techniques to ensure accuracy including photographs of the shop fronts and houses he is copying.

OO gauge Matters 

Rats’ apart, running is taking place on Tuesdays and I know that a lack of human bodies has slowed work on Wednesdays. This is partly due to 4mm members helping with the running sessions on Abbotstone prior to the Basingstoke show. 

EM gauge Matters 

Work has started on the new baseboards and track building is continuing. The new layout will be able to go to exhibitions and uses the baseboards previously built by Maurie.

O gauge Matters 

With the Basingstoke exhibition looming, much running has taken place. Management of the show is down to Chris and Frank this time as I have been rather busy with other personal matters. I am very grateful to them for volunteering (!) to ensure the layout will appear as we expect it to. Jeff meanwhile is cracking on with the wiring of Itchen Bottom and Ray has produced the Control panel box, relay and transformer box. A new sequence counter arrangement will be used for the first time at Basingstoke along with the CCTV set up.
