CHAIRMAN'S CHATTER |
May 09 At an impromptu meeting recently the members present agreed that the remaining £40 from Maurie’s sale of coins (thanks to Sam for dealing) should be sent to Naomi House together with the £90 collected from members in lieu of sending Christmas Cards last December. OO
gauge Matters No
real progress here although I have spotted running whenever possible. (Chairman’s
note: perhaps plans should be drawn up and discussed by all interested
parties for the rewire that I believe you wish to undertake. It is
important to include all aspects of the task to include the ease of
running, the ability to convert part to DCC if required, and the need
to integrate the signals to make them show correct aspects without too
much effort from the operator.) EM
gauge Matters At the meeting mentioned above we also dealt with a request to increase the budget for the EM layout. Those present agreed the increase of £150 unanimously. The increase was sought to cover cost of point motors and controllers. Progress continues with the fitting of the motors. The control panel was shown at the last Show and Tell meeting. O
gauge Matters During
the last few weeks running has been the order of the day to test the
new Enigma at Itchen Bottom and its links with Canal Junction and
Abbotstone. Trials of a sequence to bring some order to the running
were also included. We now plan a period of titivation of Abbotstone and Itchen Bottom to improve running and the scenics ready for September. Other
Business The
Summer Party is nearly upon us. We are very grateful to David and
Janet for allowing us to use their home for this event. The list of food requirements and offerings will make its way round very soon.
