SHAWTON |
SHAWTON. This small 7mm layout shows what can be achieved in 0 gauge in a small space (12 feet by 2 feet). The name is a play on the words “short one”. Laser cutting and etching along with DCC control with sound has made this a very interesting venture. The station building is designed on the prototype Southall station on Brunel’s Great Western line to the West of London. Featuring the over-bridge station building, it forms the perfect scenic break. The station remained open to service the canal but now it has gone into disrepair, the railway’s continued existence is doubtful.
