Chairman’s Chatter

A Happy New Modelling Year to you all.

The change of date for the Show and Tell evening and the early date for the dinner will mean the award for Peter James trophy will be judged on only 5 show and tell evenings.

Good luck to all the Redbridge team for the exhibition. I am aware of the hard work that has gone into preparing the layout for the show and I am sure it will generate a lot of interest amongst the public especially the local ones who may remember it as portrayed.

00 Gauge Matters

A lot of work has been completed over the last few weeks and testing of stock has been a priority for Rich and the track maintenance team.

The layout, like most layouts will not be completely finished by the exhibition and so after the show and a review of how it went, more details etc., can be added. I am sure running nights will be popular and a chance to run the layout in the later era

EM gauge matters

Recently minor repairs have been made to Mawgan Porth Goods Shed. We are overhauling the locomotives from Mick's collection and hope to show them running on Mawgan Porth in the New Year.

0 Gauge matters

DCC circuit breakers now fitted to the 5 areas, each to protect the others when a short occurs. DCC locos have been running between Abbotstone and the MPD and when it is possible, we shall replace baseboard 8 to allow the Fiddle yard to be tested again so running can commence in either DCC or analogue.

Other Business.

The question of awards etc will be discussed in the next few weeks and hopefully we can present them at the Dinner on 9th February. The dinner is early this year to avoid other functions at the hotel.

Future Events:

Mawgan Porth at the Crawley Exhibition at Horsham  13th and 14th April.
